Hi, I’m Vicky

A tenured, respected paralegal of 18 years who happens to also be a victim of “revenge porn” (more properly referred to as Image-Based Sexual Abuse).

“Revenge porn” is a term that insinuates negative actions on behalf of the victim. Revenge would mean that someone did something to deserve something bad. No victim of image-based sexual abuse deserved the exploitation that their partner subjected them to. It’s a form of domestic violence. The fact that it is occurring online doesn’t make it any less severe or traumatizing. Actually, it makes it worse. I set up this website to help bring awareness to image-based sexual abuse as well as to cover my own personal journey for justice.

What is Image-Based Sexual Abuse?

Image-based sexual abuse is a heinous act that violates the most basic human rights of individuals. It is the non-consensual sharing or distribution of intimate images or videos of a person, without their permission. This kind of abuse can happen in many ways, including revenge porn, cyberbullying, and sextortion. The psychological and emotional trauma suffered by victims of image-based sexual abuse can be long-lasting and devastating. It’s important to realize that this isn’t just a matter of privacy, it’s a violation of a person’s autonomy and dignity. We must do everything in our power to prevent and prosecute these crimes, support and empower victims, and educate the public on the gravity of this issue.

What can I do to help?

It’s time to take a stand against image-based sexual abuse. This insidious form of violation is all too prevalent in today’s digital age, but there are steps we can take to fight back. Whether it’s reporting abusive content to social media platforms, educating others on the harms of sharing and perpetuating these images, or advocating for stronger laws and penalties for offenders, our voices matter. We can’t allow ourselves or others to be subjected to these violations any longer. Let’s stand up and demand change, for a world free from image-based sexual abuse.
